I’m a Research Scientist at Zoom where I build features and products in AI Vertical (such as Zoom Virtual Assistant) powered by Agentic LLMs and GenAI technology.
Prior to that, I was a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon where I built deep learning ranking models Amazon Search, aligned LLMs for Amazon Rufus / Alexa Shopping, and built evaluation framework for LLM-based applications.
Before that, I was an Applied Scientist at Microsoft Ads (MSAN) working on auctions and tuning their parameters. I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science at UCSC where my research was mostly concentrated on machine learning, online learning, combinatorial optimization, and learning of structural concepts and combinatorial objects. I was honored to work under the supervision of Prof. S.V.N. Vishwanathan and Prof. Manfred Warmuth. For a short term after my PhD, I visited Kyushu University and collaborated with Prof. Eiji Takimoto and Prof. Kohei Hatano working on Boosting algorithms in combinatorial settings.
